Students made stop motion animation of the cell cycle. Students learned only the basics and had to research specific components of the celly cycle and make a video demonstrating what they learned. They were also given limited directions on how to make their animations because the goal was for students to learn from each other and by "doing."

various "stuff" to use for their project (i.e. pipe cleaners, clay, pom-poms, string, etc)
Students were allowed to bring in their own materials for this project.
Procedure
Day 1. Planning
Day 2 & 3. Take pictures of their cells as they progressed through the cell cycle
Day 4. Students transferred their photos from their flash drives to the thaw space on their laptops and organized the photos according to the cell cycle sequence
Day 5. Students imported their photos into the Microsoft Movie Make software and edited their movies
